Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BioNodulo website, cloud platform, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. The open-source BioNodulo desktop application is licensed separately under the GPL-3.0 and is not subject to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity under it. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the paid Service.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by running unlawful workloads, attempting to breach isolation between tenants, reverse engineering the hosted infrastructure, or using the compute for cryptocurrency mining or other abuse unrelated to bioinformatics. You are responsible for the data you upload and for having the rights to process it.

3. Billing and credits

Building and editing workflows is free. Cloud execution consumes credits, billed per second by resource profile as described on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Purchased top-up credits are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the data and workflows you upload. You grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to operate the Service. We do not use your research data to train models. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Service availability

The Service is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation except under a separately agreed enterprise SLA. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BioNodulo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or compute results. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
